Craziness (Almost) Complete!

Layne came home last night just before bedtime and we are all ecstatic!  Why?  Well, let's review our recent schedule...

December 15th - Layne leaves for a work trip.
December 22nd - Layne gets home in the early evening.
December 23rd - We leave for Georgia early in the morning.
December 23rd-December 30th - Super-busy trip to Georgia (People to see! Things to do!)
December 31st- We leave Georgia EARLY and drive home.  Unpack and go to BED.
January 2nd - Layne leaves for another trip in the morning.
January 8th - Layne comes home in the afternoon.
January 9th - Layne leaves again in the morning for another trip.
January 15th - Layne gets home in the evening, just in time for dinner.
January 16th - Layne leaves again in the morning.

We are so happy to have him home for more than 18 hours!  It was so nice to sit and watch a movie with him last night.  It was also really nice to go run a few much-delayed errands by myself this morning and take a nap this afternoon!  Layne is so wonderful and I'm sure he just wanted to rest after all of his work (12+ hours each day) but he selflessly let me have the day I wanted and it has been wonderful.  He's taken care of the kids and the house and it has been such a nice break for me!

My mom came up for a few days and it was very nice to have her here. To add to all the craziness we've been passing around a cold and Ada has been battling an abominable ear infection.  He has a couple of trips over the next few weeks but they are only a few days each so that seems like nothing compared to the last month.  It's been rough to have him gone so much but I do have to admit that the overtime he has earned is nice as we gear up for buying a house.  I sure do love my hard-working man!
