James 3.0

James is 3!  Can you believe it?!?  (Okay, it's old news...so sue me.) When you ask James how old he is he will sometimes say "zero."  Then if you ask how old Ada is he says "three."  Such a goofball.  He is a wonderful boy and a joy in our lives.  He is a no-holds-barred, full-speed-ahead kind of kid.  Sometimes it drives us a little crazy now but we know that his spunk will serve him well in years to come.  He is such a bright boy and very observant - there is no pulling the wool over his eyes!  I'm excited to see all that he learns over the year to come.

Stats:
Height: 37.5 in (52%)
~3.5 inches in 1 year!  Up from 39th percentile.~
Weight: 31 lb 2 oz (45%)
~Gained *almost* 4 pounds - up from 41st percentile.~

Things He's Doing:
~Giving me grey hairs! I wish I were kidding.
~Eating a LOT.  He seems to be a bottomless pit.
~Running, running, running. He is always on the go.
~Still taking a nap!  WAHOO!  He is so good about laying down for a nap each afternoon. Sometimes it's just 1 hour but usually it's 3.
~Saying lots of prayers.  Sometimes he gets upset when it's not his turn.

Things He Loves:
~Sweets: this boy has a sweet tooth like none other.
~Balls: if he can kick it, hit it or throw it he will.
~Cooking: he loves to help in the kitchen.
~Cars: anything with wheels is great in his book.
~Water: he drives me crazy with his water obsession!  He is always sneaking off to a sink or the faucet outside to play with water.

Things to Remember:
~He wants to go to school so badly.
~He is growing up so much! It seems that he learns something new every day and his vocabulary continues to impress me.
~People often ask if he and Jacob are twins.
~He runs to Alayna and Jacob and gives them big hugs when they get off the bus.  He loves to have some time without them but he also loves it when they come home.
~He is very sensitive to his bloodsugar.  If he goes too long between snacks he can get pretty fiesty.
~He still needs treatment for asthma on occasion.  Usually he only needs  his inhalers when he has a cold.  Allergies are also a problem.  He is very good about taking his medicine.

James is such an active lovable boy! He keeps so busy, but it is great that he has siblings to share his energy with. Thanks for sharing!!!
