We're Here, He's There

Tuesday afternoon my mom flew into BWI.  We had a quick visit, birthday festivities on Wednesday then she and I loaded up the kids and spent yesterday driving down to Georgia.  It was a long trip (always is) but went really well until we got held up in stopped traffic in South Carolina.  There was a pretty bad wreck and all we could do was wait, be grateful we were safe, and say a prayer for those involved.  We got to Grammie and Poppa's house just after 7.  We had a wonderful dinner and the kids got to bed at a semi-decent time.  We're happy to be here but I am already missing Layne terribly.  The kids don't know this but he will be flying down on the 10th to visit for a few days before we head back home as a family.
